Who is Red's Best?
Red's Best is a seafood distributor based on the historic Boston Fish Pier. We work with over 1000 fishermen across New England, aggregating their local catches and networking with proprietary technology to form a large local presence. We sustain the livelihoods of American fishermen while sustaining fisheries for harvest.
What is your local delivery & pier pickup program?
This program gives consumers the chance to purchase and taste the highest quality seafood directly from its source. We cherry pick the best available fish for every order, and hand cut fillets each morning. As a seafood wholesaler we handle millions of pounds of the freshest New England seafood each year. Never before have consumers had direct access to such an incredible selection of local seafood.
Where do you deliver?
We deliver up to 13 miles from the Boston Fish Pier. This includes a large part of metro Boston. On the cart page, there is an address validator to confirm if you are within range.
How much are local deliveries?
Local Deliveries are available for a flat fee of $5.99.
Where do I go to pick up my order?
We are located in South Boston at 37 Boston Fish Pier, Boston, MA 02210. We are on the right-hand side of the pier, at the end. Look for the "Pier Pickup" sign next to our door. We will often be there in person to hand over your order, or we will leave the order on a table marked with your name.
How will my order be packed?
All fish is vacuum sealed in bags. Most orders are packed into paper seafood bags and placed inside a plastic bag to prevent any leakage. Every order is packed with ice packs. Larger orders will occasionally be packed in Red's Best boxes with ice packs.
What is the order cutoff time?
9AM for same day orders.
What if I miss the cutoff time but really need fish?
Try calling us at 617-645-7408. We will do our best to let you know what is available (we often sell out).
What days/times can I place an order?
We are currently offering local delivery and pickups on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 12:00PM-2:00PM.
I am looking for a certain species of fish, and don't see any available. Can you get it for me?
We update our fresh options 5 days a week, multiple times a day. As we understand what is landing from local boats, we make products available. If it is not listed on the site, it is likely not available at this time.
I am looking for a whole fish, I only see fillet available. Can I buy a whole fish?
