Known as poor man's lobster, monkfish is mild with a firm dense texture similar to lobster. Monkfish is a great option for stewing, grilling and poaching as it holds together very well while cooking. 1 portion is approx. 16 oz (1 lb). 

Easy Seafood Recipe - Butterfly the fillet. Coat in oil, salt and pepper and grill over med-high heat until opaque. For more inspiration, try Monkfish Stew with Saffron Broth or Zesty Grilled Monkfish Skewers.
