Known as "poor man's lobster", monkfish is mild with a firm dense texture similar to lobster. The cheeks are an ultra tender cut from the head of the fish. Round, flat, medallion shaped pieces of meat, they have all the flavor of monkfish in perfect nugget-like portions. 1 portion is approx. 16 oz (1 lb).

Did You Know - Each large monkfish produces two nugget pieces of white, lobster-like meat from their cheeks. A highly tender cut, fish cheeks are the preferred part of the fish eaten by fishermen.
